Bright Horizons

Bright Horizons provides comprehensive support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking across a 10-county region in North Central Nebraska.

We offer trauma-informed advocacy, legal support and referrals, safe shelter, education, and systems collaboration to help survivors navigate the justice process and rebuild their lives.

Partnering with law enforcement, courts, service providers, and community agencies, Bright Horizons works toward safer communities, stronger survivor rights, and more equitable systems for victim support.

  Misty Rowley, Program Director, Speaker

Misty Rowley is the Program Director for Bright Horizons, overseeing the Ainsworth and O’Neill offices that serve a ten-county region in North Central Nebraska. She is a Nebraska state-certified victim and survivor advocate, a certified trauma specialist, and a survivor of intimate partner abuse.

In her role, Misty coordinates multidisciplinary teams that include law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare professionals, and community partners to improve systemic responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. She has a strong passion for legal advocacy and ensuring that victims’ rights are protected throughout every stage of the criminal and civil justice processes.

Her lived experience as a survivor informs her trauma-informed approach and deep commitment to systems change. Misty frequently provides education and training to legal professionals, law enforcement, hospitals, and schools on best practices in responding to victims and supporting survivors through the justice system.
