Barristers Ball
Attention NePA members!!!
The Nebraska Bar Association is in need of volunteers for the 2010 Barristers' Ball fundraiser. Last year, this event raised $59,000.
Once again, we will be raising funds to support the Nebraska Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers' Project (VLP). Proceeds will help support VLP's community outreach legal clinics in Omaha and Lincoln, These clinics include the Latino Center of the Midlands, the Southern Sudan Community Association, the Urban League Family Resource Center and the Lancaster County Self-Help Desk.
The event includes a cocktail hour during which the silent auction is conducted, followed by a dinner, oral auction and a dance. This year the Ball is scheduled for Saturday, April 10 at the Doubletree Hotel in Omaha.
Four or five volunteers are needed at the event to sell raffle tickets, direct runners and track bids during the oral auction.
